Adrift

I backed away

Not knowing how to stay

I never needed to moor myself to the dock

We all strayed

Adrift in the current

But now I find that it is different in these waters

I drift farther and farther away from you

Wanting

To row my way back

But the tides of my fear push back

Only cementing what I wish to never happen

Pouring out like molten fire

Screaming as it strikes the cold water trapping me in stone

Can I break?

Can I find my way out?

Am I stuck here?

There is no hope.

I see that you are still drifting farther and farther away

I struggle and reach out with my hands

I finally make my way out of self-imposed chains

You couldn't be too far

I scan the seas

But I see nothing adrift in the deep dark waters

You are gone

I'm just like....what?

Goku or Superman?

    

      Yesterday, I came across a fan of Dragon-ball Z who noticed a button I was wearing. We struck up a conversation on the question of who would win in a fight. Goku or Superman? Afterwards I continued on to think about said subject. Personally, I'd say it would be a very close fight. I'd want to say Goku would win, but I'm not very sure. I mean, they're both incredibly strong.

     Of course we all know Superman. He can fly. He has super strength. He can breathe in space. He has laser vision, X-ray vision, icy breath, and nearly impenetrable skin. Not to mention he is super-fast. Yes, it’s true. According to comic authorities, at his fastest flying speed, Superman is even faster than the Flash himself. Not to mention Superman is pretty smart. Goku on the other hand never received any formal education.

     Goku, like Superman, also has the abilities of flight and super strength. Goku also has the power to harness chi and use it for physical attacks such as the Kame-hame-ha and the Kaioken.

     Many would argue that Superman would win because he can breathe in outer-space and Goku can't. I'm not completely sure about that. I think that Goku actually can breathe in outer-space though I'm not 100% certain of that.

     Some people say that when you take the fact that Goku can go super-saiyan, it kind of blows away any of Superman’s chances. Now, I think that for Goku to be that over-powered he'd have to go super-saiyan 3. But even then, to say that Goku would be a million times stronger, in my opinion, would be completely underestimating Superman.

     I am not certain who would win, but I am pretty certain that it would be an incredibly close fight.

LOYAL

You stand there, looking back at me.

Your bottomless brown eyes bore through my soul.

The wind whisks your hair in its arms.

Suddenly, you open your lips, and like an angel, speak.

I perceive no words, but instead I hear beautiful glorious song exiting your lips that take me closer than I could ever possibly be to heaven on this earth.

You smile humbly.

You wear only modest jeans and shirt.

To hold you now is my greatest wish.

You call me and like a swan I glide to my partner.

Wrapped in love, I meet your embrace, taking your arms in mine.

Hugging you tightly, I smell the sweet scent of your dark flowing hair.

As we part, your beaming face glimmers, like the stars in the sky.

Don’t ever leave me.

You fade away into the coming night, leaving only the glimmer of your loving, loyal eyes.
